Richard Halpern joins Gluckstein

Richard Halpern, formerly of Thomson Rogers, has joined Gluckstein Lawyers as counsel to the firm’s medical malpractice group. Halpern joins the team as a senior lawyer, acting exclusively in medical negligence cases with a special focus on birth injuries suffered by infants.

Halpern, who has practiced for over 30 years, has specialized in complex medical malpractice cases around catastrophic birth injury. He has lectured and written widely on matters concerning obstetrics, newborn injury causes, and legal and trial strategies in medical malpractice cases.

Halpern was a 2015 recipient of the Award for Distinguished Service to the legal profession conferred by the Ontario Bar Association.
